Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

What can i say, the resort is cleaned daily, we always saw the men in orange cleaning the streets which was nice. The strange thing about marmaris is that it's so hard to find a bin. We walked for ages and not one bin in sight, they definitely need more bins around.
We loved the entertainment, there was always something to see. If it wasn't breakdancers (there are so many of these, lol) then it was micheal jackson and elvis impersonators or karaoke. Marmaris is so lively and we loved it, would definitely go back, no question.
The beach is man made and called a shingle beach. It isn't pure sand but doesn't hurt to walk on, (it can get very hot though) although you may need sandals to walk into the sea, it can be painful, but once your in the sea it feels like pure sand under you feet. It was always very clean and tidy again i would definitely recommend it. As you can see from my reviews, i do love turkey and given half the chance, would go back again and again!!!!!

The beach was very narrow and stoney however we didnt spend any time there as you get absoutely tormented by every shop, bar, restaurant, tourism place you walk past. Really annoying!

We stayed in Armutalan which is just outside Marmaris but a 1 lira bus ride takes 10mins to whizz u into Marmaris. The town itself - Armutalan is great a little under developed but is that a bad thing? Prices are cheap and in most places kids eat free which is a big bonus for families.
Not a lot really for younger people you would have to go into Marmaris. You must try the belly buster breakfast at Sharas it costs £2 and is mega this is a great place to hang around and michelle the owner is lovely as is all the staff especially Batman he is lovely - say hello to him from me!!

Nice resort just a bit too far away.

The resort itself was lovely, everyone was extremely friendly. The beach was manmade and not very big so didn't venture down there during the day. The only downside having people beding your ear to go into their pub/restaurant or shop.

Marmaris is not all its cracked up to be and seems to be seen through rose coloured glasses by those that go every year or live there. If your new to Turkey, as we was, don't believe the hype.
The beach, if you can call it that, is dire and i certainly wouldn't want to spend any time there.
The resort itself offers thousands of restuarants who all expect you to eat and drink there. However thats pretty much all it offers. Its drink, eat, drink some more, try and shop, get hassled, give up, grab another drink, and then go to sleep.
Its loud, its not as cheap as people say, and its quite boring.
Be very carefull of booking trips and confirm FULLY what you are getting as the tour operators lie and will tell you anything.
We spoke to many and all of us got ripped of somewhere from tour operators out in the town.
We booked a traditional Turkish night and was told all local drinks and food was free. The food was supposed to be buffet style and a eat as much as you like, as were the drinks.
When we went there however we could only get larger free (and very watered down too with little to no alchol content) and the food was unedable and certainly nothing like the pictures we had seen. We eventaully had to walk out in discust.
The same was said for lazy day cruises where we ended up on one of the smallest boats in the fleet and faced with no sunloungers (as it was over booked) and incredible lound music all day that noone could relax too. All the boat operator wanted to do was sell us drinks and the food on board was nothing like the pictures presented by the travel agent (This was even a different one to the turkish night).
Speaking to others who had been on similiar trips it appears this is the norm and very few was happy with their days out experiances. They'll also promise to pick you up from your hotel and drop you back off, DONT BELIEVE THEM. They'll pick you up but will certainly not drop you back. We had to have a standup arguement with the boat operator before he eventually dropped us back, reluctantly, at our hotel some 2KM or so away.
Everyone says Turkey has acceptional food and i can only support that statement at 50% best. Food varies from bar to bar and some are absolutely dire ( we was served 4 chips in one restuarant for instance). Cost wise isn't too cheap either if your used to eating locally for around £7 a head you'll find it the same there.
People are varied and most are fake "we are your friends and wish to sell you my hind leg" type. If you love hassle on a grand scale try the market or local bizaire. Its like running the gauntlet. If you like window browsing and solid, this is this price, type shopping then don't go to marmaris as you'll hate the entire experiance.
And watch out for the 5 for £10 t-shirts. Granted everyone says they are brilliantly priced designer ones but they quality sucks and won't last you long. You'd be better of getting lonsdale and addidas originals at around £2 or £3 back home here in Sports World shops. Thank godness we did.
We would like to stress we did meet some very genuine, really down to earth, trying to make a living, Turkish people who were a breath of fresh air. If it wasn't for these people we would have hated our 2 weeks.
We was told by these genuine people that Marmaris has been designed from beginning to end to suck your money dry. The Turkish working there are experts at knowing everything there is needed to know about us Brits and will use all their powers to part you with your cash. Some can get quite abusive too if you do not spend money with them.
The entire experiance from a first time to Turkey point of view has totally put us off and its unlikely we will be back in all honesty. What was supposed to be a holiday of a lifetime was ruined by false information, don't buy into the hype.

We felt that we were bothered too much by waiters trying to get you to eat in their restaurant. We couldn't walk anywhere without getting hassled.
Beach is minging. Rammed full of sun loungers and shingle sand.
The Waterpark in the hills at the back of marmaris is stunning,
we were the only ones there as it was the begining of the season and the views are amazing.

An absolute must on your first day is a visit to Armutalan Hammam, for a full treatment Turkish Bath. This will prep your skin for a beautifull tan & start your holiday with a totally relaxed & pampered feeling.
The resort facilities are excellent, you can find almost anything.
A shame the beach is a gritty shingle - it hurts your feet, but free sunbeds are provided by the bars as long as you buy a drink.

Found meals to be very reasonable, with set menu's at most places at about £5.00 upwards to £7.00 for three courses with complimentary garlic bread and dips at most places. Just watch the bill when it gets late at night.
Also heard some horror stories of eating around the marina, with massive bills at the end and no option but to pay up.
Most entertainment is usually waiters dancing and dragging you up,but some places put on a show (eg bodypopping)but normally good fun.
During the day a walk to the beach is a nightmare with people hassling you for meals, drinks, sunbeds, trips, and anything else they care to try to sell you.
Good exchange rates in the resort for English pound (cash).
Leave some space in your cases for all the tee shirts your gonna bring back (7 genuine fakes for £10.00).
