Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

Fab loved resort.

the resort as a whole was fantastic ! i liked the closeness of the beach. The entertainment provided in the hotel was not so good as everynight you had to go out to the beach. The local shops are near by, and the people are really kind and friendly!

Shop fronts and pavements are regularly cleaned.
Plenty of entertainment for whatever your taste.
Beach is very narrow at Marmaris, but lovely beach at Icmeler just a 50p/10min Dolmus ride away. Both beach's are very clean.
Loads of excellent restaurants, never had a bad meal. Treana Steakhouse on the front, Cousins opposite the hotel and Golden Moon in Icmeler worth a particular mention.
If self catering or just want some drinks for your room. I found a Cash and Carry (Tespo - Big yellow stripe around the building) It is up the street from the away from the beach. Turn right at T-junction and go to the end of the road, Tespo is there on the left. Adnan was surprised I had found out about it, he said a lot of the local shops and restaurants shop there. I got a crate of Efes for almost half the price of the supermarkets, Ideal for those couple while your getiing ready each night!!!
Plenty of great trips available which are always best bought & bartered from kiosks - never by from your rep - identical trips for nearly double the price. Have been on Jeep Safari, lazy days boat trip, all-inc turkish night and turkish baths. All great value trips.
Would I go back to Marmaris/Icmeler - Definately.

We did not know what to expect from Marmaris. While it is a very big resort, the beach is very small. In fact you can nearly miss if you aren't looking very carefully. If sandy, big beaches are your thing, avoid Marmaris at all costs. The sea is very picturesque though and the shopping is good & plentiful. You will quickly get used to ignoring all of the guys trying to pull you into their shops & restaurants. There are scores of restaurants and clubs&bars. Loads of watersports & tour operators to book your excursions through. We enjoyed our 7 day stay here, but 1 day longer would have been too long for us I think. Unless you have money to burn shopping I think that you can eventually get bored of this place. We had a good time, but probably wouldn't visit this particular resort again. I don't mean to put people off, you should definately try this place once, but we like variety, so now that we have been to Marmaris we probably wouldn't go back, but instead we would probably try out another resort next time as we did love Turkey. For info, the approximate travel time to Marmaris resort from Dalaman airport is around 1 hour and 45 minutes.

no problems with resort itself as I have visited on 3 other ocassions, can be mucky in certain arears and very clean in others which is typical of many resorts and there is loads of restaurants, bars & disco's so entertainment is around every corner so to speak, Beach is very poor and looks very mucky due to the grittyness and colour of the sand.

The resort was clean and tidy. Marmaris is very tourist orientated and is packed with shops mostly selling clothes, and lots of places to eat and drink.
However the people who run these places stand on the streets and hassle you to go into their establishment. They will shake your hand and lead you in and we even had them taking off our childrens hats and (playfully ??) running into their shop / resturant so you have to follow them in to get it (or your child) back. They do start to annoy after a while and you just have to walk past and ignore them. Don't say you'll go back later though - they are uncanny at remembering you said that !.
The beach is narrow and shingle and you have to pay for a sunbed coz theres no room just to sit on the beach. There are pedaloes, parascending etc from the beach.
We found a lack of entertainment in the evenings unless you go into one of the other bigger hotels, although most of the waiters put on their own dance routines later in the evenings and you can join in!.
There is a very good cheap bus service from the main street which is cheap and regular. There is also a weekly market which is packed so hold onto children tightly !! and don't forget to haggle - we ended up paying half of their starting price for some things. Make a final offer and if they don't accept it walk away - they are likely to accept rather than lose your sale - but be reasonable with your offer, they need to make a bit of profit and they try really hard.

I found the resort was not as cheap as I thought it would be and you have to watch your change if you are unsure of the currency, as they will try to rip you off.

The actual place itself was very clean and there was plenty to see and do, with trips and plenty of retaurants and bars. The beach was not my cup of tea, it was more of a shingle beach allthough it was clean.
