Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

The resort was still quite quiet when we went but there was still plenty of entertainment to be had on the main stretch of beach.
Karaoke,drag queens,cocktails,happy hours it goes on and on. You can get hassled quite a lot with people trying to get you into their restaraunts but generally its done with humour.
The beach was nice although in May the sea tends to be a bit on the chilly side!

The people in Turkey are so friendly and polite you are walking down the street and everyones saying hello and greeting you. They love to haggle and would feel offended if you didnt haggle with them you can get real bargains out in Turkey from Gameboy games, leather, bags, deginer gear, jewelery and much much more. And if you get the chance go on a boat trip to Rhodes it a lovely place with good bargins

this is a very nice resort, it caters for the young and lively and the family or quieter holiday makers, beautiful place and would recommend it to anyone

Not really a beach person but did find the beach a bit crowded. There is entertainment going on all over the resort and there is somthing for everyone to enjoy.
Obviously ther are some parts of Marmaris that are a bit dirty but in general the resort is quite clean. Have been to Marmaris before and am coming back again in 2004 and 2005.

Like all Turkey they never seem to finish off their works, Street pavements can be hazardous for walking. Entertainment spartan mostly local stuff belly dancers and the like,dont expect it to be up to Spanish standards. Plenty restaurants but you still get the old "hassle". Main shopping area along the sea front main road, much of a muchness, the usual counterfiet designer labels and software,big supermarket down town,bazaar market once a week. Try taking water taxi around the bay to Ichmeler for a day out as it has much better beach, only takes ten mins or so,turtle beach also a good trip.Try a day trip to Rhodes but book at ferry office as it is up to 50% cheaper than you tour operator, strange thing is you pass thro Turkish duty free going out and coming in.
If you want to be really brave have a full Turkish bath and massage or even a cut throat razor shave. Found the sea front trip touts to be very reliable, picking you up and dropping you off at your hotel, about 30% cheaper than your tour operator.
I broke a tooth while there and I have to say it was the best dental treatment I ever had, not cheap but as insurance was paying who cares.

Marmaris has something for everyone.The resort itself is very busy but if you get off the main streets there are some nice quiet bars.Shopping is great(especially Gold!)and the market is an experience.The Turkish people are so friendly,They like you to have a look in their shops(even if not buying)and always offer you an apple tea!

Marmaris is a good place to visit if you like bars and shops. The beach is not bad but go to nearby Ichmeler for this, its only five minutes away and costs pence on the bus.
What really sets Marmaris and Turkey apart from Spain is the locals, they are so friendly, funny and helpful and cannot help you enough. Food is of excellent standard and like drink, cheap!! Weather can get very hot so be aware, take mozzie spray. A must to do are the boat trips, all day trip, food and drink included excellent views all for just £10. Try a jeep safari you'll love it, promise!!

Marmaris sea front is clean and tidy,the further away from the town the more the pavements dissapear.
The nightlife is unbeatable with something for all ages.
More lively than icmeler.
A walk down the marina at night is recommended.
Book boat trips at the marina on the day you wish,you will find a boat to suit rather than through a rep or agent.
