Don't pay extra for a sea view as most rooms have a sea view or over-look the quiet pool. Restaurants/drinks in and around square expensive but there are a few bars and restaurants near the hotel circa half the price. Best, The Bagatelle.150m from hotel is the best. On the flat?

Good location but self catering is the way to go and there is a supermarket close by.

Upper floors of blocks 3, 4, or 5 seem to be the best located for views away from the main block 2 where rather reception, restaurants, bars and entertainment is held. We were on the 4th floor and were very satisfied apart from not being aware of the lack of hob and oven.
Boardwalks have been built by the hotels of the area giving easy access to the beach and beach side kiosks and restaurants. The best beach restaurant we found was Os Salgados, a seafood restaurant.
One at the other end of the beach was far less agreeable with ambience, food and service. Walking beyond Os Salgados on boardwalks are views of a river/ lagoon where you can see fish, water birds and terrapins. Not too far from Albufeira for more restaurants and shops.

Brilliant hotel located very close to the square, where you will find a large number of restaurants and bars.

We had a great time at the beach. The water sports were very reasonably priced and the operaters were very safty minded. Life jackets were freely available. The only thing which i noticed at the resort was a lack of taxi's. We always had to wait quite a while. The best place to eat on the stripe is"o Poeta". They do the most amazing chicken kebabs. The best pizza can be found in the old town at "Ricardo's" just on a little street off the beach front. We had a great holiday and we just cant wait to go back there. The weather was also fabulous.

We loved Albufeira, The Strip and The Old Town.
Clean, safe and plenty of fun for all ages!!
Loads of good food places, cocktail bars and karaoke!!
The old town is fantastic, well worth a few evenings and beach lovely.
We have 3 kiddies, 14, 13, and 7 and we all had a lovely time.

The resort was great, we all loved it, fabulous places to eat and we ate in a different place every night and couldn't fault anything. Also the staff were great to the children. The shops were really good as well, not the normal rubbish. We used the small train to take us into Albuferia a few times, runs every 20mins and very cheap.

Very clean resort.
Beach was beautiful, clean and not too congested. The only downside was that it was at the bottom of a hill, the only way down was by a very steep set of stairs. For people with mobility difficulties this is a major obsticle. Also there were no facilities on the beach i.e toilets snack/drinks bar, all were up the stairs

Olhos D'Agua (translates as Eyes of the Sea) is a lovely place to stay. Only a few kilometres away from Albufeira it has retained a little of its fishing village charm, but is beginning to be swallowed up in the mele of big hotels, apartment complexes. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to frequent at lunchtime and evenings; ranging from the steak & chips brigade (at the British pub) to posh nosh restaurants, chinese, fish restaurants etc. The choice was pretty endless!
The beach is very sandy and has a stunning backdrop of unusual rock formations. We highly recommend an evening stroll along the beach, watch the sunset and check out the rocks.
Although loads of pubs/restaurants, it never felt crowded or over-touristy - unlike Albufeira! Check out the Black Cat bar, the owner makes some mean cocktails. Just tell him what you like and let him make you something! (oh and he loves Michael Buble too, DVD is on all the time!).
We hope you enjoy Olhos D'Agua as much as we did! We'll certainly be back sometime soon.
