Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

Marmaris is located in a beautiful bay, with plenty of water sports and charming daytrips, if you choose to keep busy. If not, you can relax on the clean beaches and soak in the view. There are plenty of entertainment along the front at night, which is fun but sometimes repetitive. More shops than anyone could visit, but again, repetitive in their spoil. The resort is mostly kept clean as the owners look after their own patch. This is my second time in Marmaris, and I would definitely visit again, although if you want a quiet holiday I would recommend the neighbouring village of Icmeler, or to stay half way between both (Lidya).

The beach was very rocky and the sea was very salty!

Everyone is friendly but watch out they do want your money this what we found difficult.
We had some really good cheap meals, at natalies sisters on the beach front we had steak on a plank ( yes of wood) and drinks for under £19 for 2 if you wnat to pay over the top price go to Bar Street which is more for the teenager in you !
Brilliant holiday will go back.

Marmaris is such a beautiful place and the people there are absolutely fantastic. Our 9 month old daughter was very well catered for as was our 6 year old. The people are very family orientated and we had no problems getting about.
Shopping can be a pain if you are not into haggling but you will get a good deal if you do haggle. Don't feel pressured into buying anything.

Marmaris changes every year and in my opinion for the better each time. Everywhere you go there is new build with the newly re-built Taj Mahal restaurant an excellent example. Appears to be a programme ongoing to refurbish all the local park areas too which is adding to the look. I thought the resort was looking good this year.
Entertainment can be found anywhere from the restaurants, bars, hotels and apartments themselves. The locals will do everything they can to ensure you enjoy your holiday.
We are more poolside holidaymakers and have to say the beach at Marmaris isn't the best although it did look busy when we were there.
All in all Club Turquoise and Marmaris itself remain our first choice summer holiday destination and nothing this year made us change our mind.

Armuturen is like a small village just outside Marmaris resort centre. It was 5 min dolmus ride to Marmaris so is ideal for peace and quite. The village area has loads of bars/restuarants to choose from and the bus taxis stops are right in the middle of the village. We found the beach in Marmaris to be a very poor standard as it was very coarse sand and very busy.Icmeler is the beach to go to as its just lovely, you can get a taxi boat or drive to this beach from Marmaris and it takes just a few minutes.

cleanliness of the resort was 1st class, the bar owners, shop owners were always out with a mop and brush.
the entertainment was 1st class too, you were spoilt for choice, if you wanted a quiet 70's 80's night then you could have one or if you wanted an ear blasting ( headache !!!) night, then you could have that too.. Visit BAR STREET, right down past the habour...... excellent for the younger ones.... also down by the habour is the Bazar and also some Turkish Baths etc etc, these are brilliant, a must to sample. There are plenty of boat trips, I didnt take any of these but you have an awful lot to choose from. These are mainly down by the habour but there are some also dotted along the sea front as you walk towards the habour, also nice little cafe / bars to sit and have a coffee and watch the world go by and the staff are all so very very helpful.

We found Marmaris had rubbish everywhere, scattered in all the roadsides and grassy areas which looked very scruffy indeed.
We did not use Marmaris beach at all as we took one look (in horror) at the rows and rows of sunbeds one on top of the other which was very off putting. We have great golden beaches at home which are very hard to beat.In no way would we have even thought about sitting on this beach!
We found the resort to be too commercialised and we might as well have gone to the UK for our holiday where there are all the same pubs, clubs, music, cigarette smokers and tv's everywhere. It felt like we were not abroad apart from the temperatures. We would not return to this resort again but would try somewhere else in Turkey that is a bit quieter and more traditional to the country.
The shop staff are very pushy and overbearing, even our kids wanted to get out of the bazaar down by the Marmaris marina and they love shopping normally. Quite intimidating when your not used to it.
All in all it was an ok place to go but I don't think we will return again in a hurry.
